Welcome

This is my place on the internet — a calm corner where I share the parts of my life that matter most. I’m Tyson: a dad, a partner, a digital leader, a runner, a friend, and someone who’s always trying to grow into a better version of himself. I’m not on social media, so this space is where I express myself, reflect, and build something real

About Me

I’m an intuitive, curious person who likes to understand how things work — people, systems, technology, and life itself. I’ve always been a jack‑of‑many‑trades, willing to try, learn, adapt, and get my hands dirty. What drives me is simple: integrity, purpose, and the desire to leave things better than I found them.

My life is anchored by the people and connections that matter most. I share my world with a partner who brings warmth, stability, and balance into my life. My kids keep me grounded, youthful, and motivated, and our dogs add their own brand of chaos, comfort, and joy — the kind that makes a house feel alive. I’m lucky to have rich friendships and a community that gives me a sense of belonging, and I try to give that back in the way I show up for others.

Being a good world citizen is part of who I am. I try to role‑model kindness, responsibility, and curiosity — for my kids, for my partner, for my friends, and for the people I cross paths with. Whether it’s fitness, work, or personal growth, everything ties back to building a life that supports the people I love and contributes something positive to the world around me.

I’ve spent my life around technology, evolving from hands‑on technical work into strategy, leadership, and long‑term decision‑making. Change doesn’t intimidate me — it energises me. I like leading from the front, shaping direction, and building systems that last.

How I See the World

A few ideas guide me through life:

  • “This is not the hill I want to die on.” Choose your battles.

  • “Perfection is the enemy of done.” Progress beats paralysis.

  • “You can manipulate fate with karma.” Your actions shape your path.

  • “I’m not trying to be the fastest, just not the slowest.” Focus on what matters.

  • “No one is coming to save you.” Responsibility is empowering.

  • “You can’t help someone who doesn’t want to help themselves.” Know your limits.

These aren’t just quotes — they’re reminders to stay grounded, intentional, and accountable.

What You’ll Find Here

This site is split into the main areas of my life — the things I’m comfortable sharing publicly and the parts of my world that shape who I am:

  • Fitness — my journey in running, strength, and physical wellbeing.

  • Wellbeing — the architecture that keeps my life balanced and intentional.

  • Parenting — my values‑based approach to raising grounded, capable kids.

  • Kids — a creative space for their stories, ideas, and imagination.

  • Vocational — my professional identity, experience, and leadership philosophy.

  • Resources — tools, ideas, and frameworks I’ve found useful along the way.

This is a living space. It will grow and change as I do. Come along for the ride — keep up, or get left behind.

People who Inspire me

I take pieces of wisdom from many places; these are some of those people.

Marcus Aurelius for his timeless philosophy.

Marcus Aurelius has always resonated with me because his way of seeing the world mirrors the way I try to live mine. His writing is grounded in responsibility, calm strength, integrity, and the idea that we shape our lives through the choices we make every day. I connect deeply with his belief in being a good citizen of the world, showing up for the people who matter, and leading through example — values I try to role‑model for my kids, my partner, my friends, and my community. His philosophy reminds me to stay steady, stay kind, and stay accountable, even when life gets messy.

Brené Brown for emotional clarity and healthy connection.

Brené Brown has helped me understand the strength in vulnerability, the importance of emotional clarity, and the value of healthy connection. Her work reinforces my belief that courage isn’t loud — it’s honest, compassionate, and grounded. She’s shaped the way I approach relationships, parenting, and leadership by reminding me that boundaries and empathy can coexist, and that showing up authentically is one of the greatest gifts we can give others.

Ryan Reynolds

Ryan Reynolds inspires me through his mix of humour, humility, and authenticity. He doesn’t take himself too seriously, yet he carries himself with confidence and kindness. There’s something refreshing about someone who can be successful, grounded, and genuinely funny without losing their humanity. His approach reminds me to stay light, stay real, and keep a sense of humour even when life gets heavy.

Struthless

Struthless has taught me practical tools for living a more intentional, creative, and structured life. His way of breaking down big ideas into simple, actionable steps resonates with how I think and how I build systems around my wellbeing. His work encourages me to stay curious, stay adaptable, and keep refining the way I move through the world — one small improvement at a time.

Mark Lewis

Mark Lewis inspires me because he champions the idea that being above average is enough — and that consistency beats perfection. His approach to fitness, discipline, and self‑improvement aligns with my own philosophy: show up, do the work, and keep moving forward. He reminds me that progress is built through steady effort, not extremes, and that a balanced, sustainable life is worth more than chasing unrealistic ideals. Check out his YouTube channel here
