As CARA’s SharePoint Administrator, I was responsible for modernising the organisation’s digital information environment during a period of rapid growth and increasing compliance requirements. I managed the full lifecycle of CARA’s SharePoint platform, ensuring it was structured, governed, and capable of supporting a diverse workforce delivering disability services across South Australia.

Key Achievements

  • I redesigned CARA’s SharePoint environment from the ground up, transforming it from a basic document repository into a structured, intuitive, and governed platform that supported collaboration, compliance, and organisational knowledge.

  • I created site structures, libraries, metadata models, and permission frameworks that improved information discoverability, reduced duplication, and strengthened data integrity.

  • I developed automated workflows and digital forms that replaced manual, paper‑based processes, improving efficiency and reducing administrative burden across operational and corporate teams.

  • I worked closely with managers and frontline staff to understand their needs, translating operational challenges into practical SharePoint solutions that improved day‑to‑day work.

  • I provided training, coaching, and support to staff at all levels, helping them build confidence in using digital tools and embedding better information management practices across the organisation.

  • I documented system configurations, processes, and governance rules, creating a sustainable foundation for future digital uplift initiatives.

Leadership & Technical Impact

The SharePoint environment I designed became a core part of CARA’s digital operations, supporting collaboration, compliance, and organisational knowledge well beyond my tenure. This work laid the foundation for my transition into the Project Officer and later Lead Application Developer roles, where I expanded my impact into broader system design, integration, and digital transformation.
