I provided specialist digital expertise across the Commission’s application and content ecosystem, supporting the uplift of digital operations during a period of rapid organisational growth. My role focused on stabilising key systems, improving content workflows, and laying the foundations for the governance and delivery frameworks I later expanded as an EL1.
Key Achievements
Supported the Commission’s digital publishing platform by improving content workflows, resolving complex issues, and ensuring high‑quality, accurate information was delivered to the sector.
Strengthened the application management function by documenting processes, mapping system dependencies, and improving visibility of the application landscape.
Provided specialist advice to business areas on digital solutions, content structure, and system capabilities, helping teams improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Contributed to early governance uplift by identifying gaps in processes, risks in content management, and opportunities for improved quality control.
Collaborated with developers, content specialists, and ICT teams to troubleshoot issues, refine enhancements, and support the delivery of new features.

Leadership Impact
This role provided the foundation for my transition into EL1 leadership. It strengthened my understanding of the Commission’s digital ecosystem, deepened my capability in application governance, and positioned me to lead the transformation of the Application Management function when I stepped into the Assistant Director role.
